The GeForce RTX 4070, a $599 GPU that NVIDIA launched last year for gamers who wanted to max out their favorite games at 1440p, advertised as using 23% less power than the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti while running up to 1.7x faster with DLSS 3 when gaming, has been updated with what's been described as "extra fast" GDDR6 memory in order to improve supply and availability of what is apparently a very popular graphics card, NVIDIA has announced.

Of course, this one will be cheaper, right?... right?

If it offers the same performance, there is no reason for it to be.

It sounds to me like they are using high bin GDDR6 instead of standard bin GDDR6x top achieve similar memory bandwidth.

Testing will have to determine if that actually is the case.

I hate it when companies release the same product name with different specs, and this is no different. There should never be any ambiguity to what you are actually getting when you go shopping.
