NVIDIA may have only launched DLSS 3.5 a few days ago, but it already has a good idea of what a future iteration of the technology will bring to the table. In that same video with Digital Foundry where he suggested DLSS would replace native rendering for the highest-quality visuals, Bryan Catanzaro, Vice President of Applied Deep Learning Research at NVIDIA, also teased DLSS 10, explaining that while the tech is "far, far" away, it will usher in a "completely neural rendering system that interfaces with a game engine." What that truly means for the future of PC gaming and when DLSS 10 will surface is anyone's guess, but NVIDIA's newest advances can be tested now in Cyberpunk 2077, which recently received a big update enabling DLSS 3.5 and Ray Reconstruction for even better ray-traced effects, powered by AI.

Why does this feel like an April Fools announcement.

DLSS 10, for the video cards of the future... Now you don't even have to buy a video card, just use the on board AI render engine, and stream your game, for an DLSS enhanced experience.

Well maybe the AI will be so advanced that it will generate the game from text prompts instead of a low res image.... Oh crap, that's coming.
