NVIDIA Raises Pricing of GeForce RTX 30 Series Founders Edition Graphics Cards in Europe

NVIDIA has decided to raise the pricing for its GeForce RTX 30 Series Founders Edition graphics cards in Europe.



As spotted by HardwareLuxx and VideoCardz, all Founders Edition models have been updated with new premiums for European regions, including the flagship GeForce RTX 3090, which received the biggest price increase. The Founders Edition of that card is now priced at 1649 euros, an increase of more than six percent over the original MSRP (1549 euros).

I did not even know Nvidia still sold these, I read somewhere that when they stopped selling cards directly in the US they also stopped in Europe.

And while they were beeing retailed in the US trough BestBuy

Best Buy allegedly had them in stock yesterday - not that most people could even get to the checkout page.

I like the FEs for their cooling setup - flow through and flow out, instead of... flow 'around' - and that they're probably the easiest cards to find water blocks for, outside of EVGA's.

They could double their MSRP and still fall shy of the average retail sales prices... at least it seems.

For a moment yesterday I caught myself thinking that US$1500 for a 3080Ti was a good deal. I paid a straight US$700 for my 1080Ti.

And that was Best Buy's catch-me-if-you-can lottery.

The problem is figuring out what cards are standard reference designs and which ones aren't. The reference ones are plenty easy to get blocks for though. Back when I got my RTX 3090 FE though, it was much harder to figure out than it is now. Plus, there really only were blocks for FE cards initially.

Thank God for the Newegg Shuffle.... I got my 3070 Strix for $700 a few months ago and I can now ignore the GPU market insanity.

Yeah, I thought nvidia abandoned the EU market, I certainly didn't see any founders editions make it to here.
