GeForce NOW's Ultimate plan just got better. NVIDIA has confirmed that it has begun rolling out its GeForce TX 4080 SuperPODs for the highest membership tier of its cloud gaming service, enabling subscribers of that plan to play PC games at even higher quality, including up to 4K 120 FPS on the native PC and Mac apps. Ultimate members streaming on GeForce RTX 3080 servers will also find ultrawide resolutions and HDR on the GeForce NOW PC and macOS apps beginning today.

So... 4k 120fps.. lets see what is the HDMI requirement for that. According to minimum requirements to support 4k 120hz you would need a HDMI 2.0 connection meaning a bandwidth of 18gigabit per second.

So in order to get that down... from roughly 1.8 GIGABYTES per second to something that could stream over a 1 gig connection you're still talking about nearly 10x compression on just the video signal nothing else.

Bullshit metric is bullshit.
