Only 37% of Viewers Finished Amazon’s Lord of the Rings TV Show, Sources Say

Amazon had cooked up a decent little twist regarding the true identities of Halbrand (Charlie Vickers) and The Stranger (Daniel Weyman) for its Lord of the Rings TV show, but apparently, a good chunk of people missed out on it. Sources with The Hollywood Reporter have revealed that only 37% of viewers made it through all eight episodes of The Rings of Power, while overseas, it enjoyed a slightly better, but "not spectacular," completion rate of 45%. Critics have been quick to point out that the first season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power cost Amazon a lot of money to make, with figures of around $465 million being floated around. Still, a second season is on the way, expected to premiere in 2024.
