PlayStation is planning to release its future live-service games day and date on PS5 and PC, but the same cannot be said for its single-player and narrative-driven titles, which presumably include new Spider-Man, Horizon, and God of War games, according to new statements shared by Hermen Hulst, the soon-to-be-CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment's Studio Business Group.

What's a narrative-driven title?

I could put in some political joke here about it, but I'll leave that out for now. But seriously, no idea what a narrative-driven title is.

Would that be titles with more video than game? Or action games on tight rails where as long as the player overcomes the puzzle in front of them (either a boss mob or manipulating the environment to solve an actual puzzle), they can continue, but the journey and the end are predetermined and unchanging from one play through to the next? Or what is colloquially known as a "walking simulator"?

One way of showing that single-player games under perform is by throwing hurdles in their path to success.
Should take a look at this morning's post. Yet another example of more hurdles for single-player games on PC.

A game they don't drown with MTX's with a strong story, so something like the last of us, Horizon, Uncharted or God of war.

Microsoft doesn't force use of Microsoft/Xbox accounts for their games (unless you're playing online, which uses the Xbox Live servers and matchmaking service), but on the other hand, Sony is willing to put games on GOG. So both of these morons have a lot of room for improvement.
