PC gamers have celebrated Sony for its decision in bringing some of its biggest PlayStation exclusives to the PC platform, but they don’t deserve all of the credit.
That’s according to God of War’s director, Cory Barlog, who told Game Informer in a new interview regarding the PC port that the decision of bringing God of War and other blockbuster PS titles to the PC was actually an initiative that was pushed by Sony’s own first-party PlayStation Studios. Sony was apparently hesitant toward the idea until it was overwhelmed by requests from developers curious about how their games would look on PC.
“I think it was the collective of studios all over saying this is a really good idea,” Balrog said. “We should be looking into this. Eventually, I think it reached that tipping point.”
