A FULL keyboard AND a mouse pad that you don't need 1200square feet to use! All winning! + a UPS. Love it all. I take it there is a kvm I don't see or the monitor acts as one for the work laptop?

The monitor has a built-in KVM functionality.

Oh, and the wired network is actually 10GbE. I've got a Brocade ICX7250 switch with the required 10GbE license and 10GbE SFPs. I ran CAT6e cable throughout the house. Every room has two jacks except my office which has three.
