PowerColor Confirms 6 GB Memory Configuration for Radeon RX 6700 Graphics Cards

PowerColor has confirmed (albeit unwittingly) that AMD’s Radeon RX 6700 graphics cards will feature 6 GB of high-speed GDDR6 memory. The news comes from TechPowerUp, which reported that the manufacturer accidentally published images of its upcoming Radeon RX 6700 Fighter SKU with some of its core specifications early. As noted in the bottom left-hand corner of its retail packaging, this GPU will leverage 6 GB of VRAM.

I would have expected them to have 8 gig. I suppose that was a no go for bandwidth reasons. Still kind of disappointing to those wanting to use this for 1440p. 6gb has been exceeded in games since around GTA V.
 
Looking forward to the strategy AMD marketing will use to market this as a 1440p GPU with 6 GB.
 
Wasn't that right before Fury came out with only 4GB HBM?
Could be. I'd have to go back and search but I seem to remember posting about it around a year or so ago. Maybe even in the last 6-9 months.
