Digital Foundry has published a review for the PlayStation 5 Pro on the eve of the video game system's launch, and with it comes a complementary video that shows what Game Boost—a PS5 Pro enhancement that Sony says "may stabilize or improve the performance of supported PS4 and PS5 games"—will do for titles that include Elden Ring, FromSoftware's critically acclaimed 2022 action RPG.

whot buys the "pro" playstations anyway?
I bought a PS4 Pro (well I got it as a gift), but I didn't have a base PS4. The PS4 Pro was my first and only PS4. I had been borrowing PS4s (all base models) from friends for years. I won't be getting a PS5 or a PS5 Pro, cuz Sony-exclusives comes out on PC now, which is where I wanted them to begin with. I've been using consoles since 2nd-gen, but I'm hoping 9th-gen is the first gen where I don't end up with any consoles. When I did get consoles, I usually got them late in the generation.

Yup. My PS5 could well be my last console unless something truly new, innovative, amazing comes out. Which ain't likely in my gaming lifetime. I would have sold it already but still use it from time to time as a 4K UHD player. My gaming motivation has really fallen off in the last couple years anyway, except for Civ and occasionally Diablo.
