Razer is unveiling the Razer Kishi Ultra today, a new USB C gaming controller for Android, iPhone 15 series, and iPad Mini devices that's said to be "god-tier" and groundbreaking, featuring high-quality ergonomics, haptics, Razer Chroma RGB, and a size and feel that would put it in line with console controllers.

What? A controller... for your phone or ipad? Really? That's a thing now?

Been a thing for quite a while actually. A good number of years. They've never really caught on though, cuz real gamers don't play on phones/tablets (and for those who like to f*ck around on mobile devices anyways, like messing with emulators and stuff, they use real controllers via Bluetooth or USB, such as 7th/8th/9th-gen Xbox controllers, Sony controllers like the DualShock 4, and back in the late 2000s they were even using Wii remotes on Android). Those people who do play on mobile devices don't want to carry around extra sh1t to use with their phone, like one of these controller thingies. They're fine with the built-in touchscreen controls of their mobile device.

Stuff like this has been around for a long time too: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089D977YT/?tag=thefpsreview-20
They're a dime a dozen, but I think Gameklip was the first company to put something like this out, back in the late 2000s or 2010s, starting with the DualShock 3 controller.

Now that emulators are a thing again on iOS it may see a good surge.
