Razer has launched a new firmware update for the Viper Mini Signature Edition that allows the lightweight gaming mouse with magnesium alloy chassis, Razer Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor, Razer Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3, Razer HyperPolling Wireless Dongle, and other features to operate at a wireless polling rate of 8,000 Hz. Per a press release that Razer outed today, the Viper Mini Signature Edition is the world's first gaming mouse to achieve this level of wireless technology, something that Razer has described as being "unparalleled," with 0.125 ms polling intervals. The Razer Viper Mini Signature Edition, which weighs only 49 grams, is available exclusively through Razer.com for $279.99 USD / 319.99€ MSRP.

Yep.. 8000hz for 3 months before it breaks then you get to deal with the RMA process. No thanks.

That's cool and all pretty sure that unless your name is Commander Data that you're not going to be able to take advantage of the difference between 1Khz and 8Khz polling in a competitive Call of Duty match. However I'm sure you'd definitely feel the $200 price difference between this and a "regular" gaming mouse.
