Remedy Entertainment has published its Financial Statements Release for the period of January–December 2022, and it includes comments by CEO Tero Virtala that provide new insight on where some of the company's anticipated projects are currently at. Chief among those is Alan Wake 2, a sequel to the cult classic that is seemingly on track to make its previously teased 2023 ETA date, having been described by the executive as already being "playable from start to finish," as well as Control 2, another major sequel that appears to be progressing smoothly, now in a proof-of-concept stage with gameplay, narrative, art, and other crucial elements coming together. Virtala also shared a bit about the Max Payne 1 and 2 remakes, which were originally announced in April 2022 but, similar to Control 2, are still in the concept stage.
