AMD is planning to release a bunch of new Radeon RX 6000 Series graphics cards in the coming months ahead of the company’s first next-generation RDNA 3 GPUs, according to leaker Greymon55. They include Radeon RX 6X50 XT models, which should comprise refreshed, higher-performance versions of AMD’s current Navi 21 and Navi 22 products, as well as a non-XT version of red team’s critically maligned Radeon RX 6500. These will supposedly show up in the months of June/July and May, respectively.

RX 6500 is around $130.— Greymon55 (@greymon55) February 2, 2022

Wait, they plan on making an even slower version of the 6500XT?

Yep, saying the 6500XT isn't fast is a pretty drastic understatement. Five years ago it could be forgivable but these days one might as well upgrade their CPU just to get something more equitable compared to it. I commend AMD's presumable intention to make a card unappealing to miners but they did it to such an extent even gamers have to think of how to use it.

I kept both of mine along with a pentium 200 mmx with 32mb Ram . Haven’t turned that system on in a long time though… wonder if it still boots.
I have a couple of systems in storage like that. Preshott and an AIW 9700 on a Soyo board. I'm curious after all these years if it still works. I guess i will find out in the spring when I clear out my storeroom
