Rumor: Intel’s Next-Gen “Battlemage” Arc GPUs Will Feature Twice the Core Count, with 64 Xe Cores

RedGamingTech has shared a video that claims Battlemage, Intel's next-generation Arc GPUs, will feature up to 64 Xe cores. This is a doubling of what can be found in the A770, Intel's current flagship Arc 7 GPU, which features 32 Xe cores. According to RedGamingTech's sources, Battlemage could launch as early as Q2 next year, with improvements that include a substantial uplift in ray tracing performance. Intel's Arc GPUs have been praised by Intel fans for their price-to-performance ratio, with the Intel Arc A750 Limited Edition now available at select retailers that include Newegg for just $249.

Who... Cares. It could have 1/16th a gen 4 processor core count as long as it's price to performance was good and exceeded or met competition thn I don't care. Not even a little.

Time will tell if the IPC and general improvements with the additional cores will be competitive at the msrp.
