Are you desperate enough to pay $900 to fit your entire game library on a speedy, large-capacity SSD? Well, Samsung’s latest QVO SSD series should be right up your alley. According to an Amazon listing spotted by Tom’s Hardware, the Korean giant is prepping an 8 TB SKU for that very price.



Prospective buyers should be aware that this is a QLC-based drive, however. What that means is slower write speeds and wear resistance – but neither of these issues should be a concern if the device is used primarily for storage, and not as an OS drive, which would imply constant writes.

$112.50 per TB. Price ratio works out. It's just a lot to swallow at once. Hopefully they come out with a 4TB version for half price.
 
I agree. In the grand scheme of things that's not as bad as it could've been but still quite a bit.
