Paramount Pictures has released the official teaser for Terminator: Dark Fate, which is being billed by producer and franchise godfather James Cameron as the true sequel to T2: Judgment Day.
The footage offers a first look at the film’s lead, Grace, an augmented soldier who is sent back in time to protect this chapter’s John Connor figure, Dani Ramos. They’re chased by an advanced Terminator that can clone itself but are saved by an older, bazooka-toting Sarah Connor.
Reception of the teaser has been mixed. Many are pointing out the overuse of CG, while long-time fans are lamenting the lack of Brad Fidel’s classic Terminator motif. The film will be released on November 1.
