PC enthusiasts may have less of a reason to consider purchasing or firing up their PlayStation consoles in the future. In a recent interview with Bloomberg, Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios chairman Shawn Layden hinted that he was open to releasing first-party titles on not just the PlayStation, but PC as well.

"We must support the PlayStation platform -- that is nonnegotiable," Layden said. "That said, you will see in the future some titles coming out of my collection of studios which may need to lean into a wider installed base."

Bloomberg interpreted those titles to be of the multiplayer variety, which would eliminate some of the most popular PlayStation franchises (e.g., God of War, Uncharted, The Last of Us) being ported to PC. Still, it should be interesting to see how any exclusive fares on the more powerful platform.

That would be super nice, but also the final nail in the coffin of me owning a Playstation. I have a PS4 that currently collects dust and who's sole reason for being on my desk is to play Sony's first party titles (which are usually excellent).

I get the feeling this is a marketing tactic to increase exposure of the PS4.
In the end it probably wont happen.
