As promised in its PS5 April Update article from yesterday, Sony has begun rolling out its first major update for PlayStation 5 consoles, which introduces new storage options, social features, and more to the wildly popular next-gen system. According to the full patch notes that were published today, the 21.01-03.00.00 update also includes a couple of surprise additions such as a new refresh rate option that allows users to turn off 120 Hz output for improving compatibility with certain PC monitors. Still no VRR support, yet... Thought they would get that working with RE8 running at 45 FPS with ray tracing.
