Sony Scrambles to Block Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer Leak with Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus

Last night was a very interesting one for Spider-Man fans. An effects artist (who evidently didn’t care much for his job) or someone close to him, leaked an early version of the teaser trailer for Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios’ next Spider-Man film, Spider-Man: No Way Home.



Kevin Feige is reportedly pissed. And while Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have seemingly been somewhat successful in scrubbing the footage off of the internet over the past 24 hours, its secrets are already out there.



That would include the return of Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, who died in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man sequel, one of the greatest superhero films ever, from 2004. According to Marvel fans who lucked upon the leaked trailer, the character can be seen at the end of the trailer in his familiar trenchcoat.

Really have to wonder if this was staged for publicity. Most people already know, or have on good rumor sources, about most of the returning cast from the various movies. About a month ago I even read a part of a reported script/story leak. It included most of the story but was missing the final act. I won't go into the details but I thought it was pretty good and I"m really looking forward to it.
 
Looks intriguing enough for me to want to see it, but I will probably wait to rent it over going to see it in theaters.
 
I can't even be bothered to watch the official version. I'm so tired of superhero movies. Let the fad blow over already, PLEASE.
