LOL, don't get your hopes up. Kurtzman is still in charge. If you want a Star Trek that doesn't suck watch the Orville. Which unfortunately will probably get cancelled after it's next season as there are no ideologs pumping money into it. It has to make it on ratings alone. And the 3 year delay between 2nd and 3rd season I fear will seal its fate.

Actually surprised McFarlane did a season 3. He said previously he wasn't going to, and the first two seasons were just an experiment pet project.
 
There was a teaser video for Orville S3 that came out on the weekend. Hopefully, it'll stream soon.
