Star Wars: Jedi Survivor Director Teases Likelihood of Third Game, Built on Unreal Engine 5

Cal Kestis is set to return in this year's Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, but his story arc may be far from over. Speaking to IGN Unfiltered, Star Wars: Jedi Survivor director Stig Asmussen revealed that he wants to make a third game in the series, stating that he had always wanted to tell Kestis' story as part of a trilogy, a tradition that's been popularized by the mainline Star Wars films. While nothing has been approved at EA yet, Asmussen suggested that a third Star Wars: Jedi game will probably happen if Survivor sells well, which it very well might, if sales figures of the original game are any indication. It being built on Unreal Engine 5 instead of Unreal Engine 4 would also be a "pretty safe assumption."
