Starfield 2, a sequel to the 2023 space-faring RPG from Todd Howard and Bethesda Game Studios that remains exclusive to Xbox consoles and Windows PCs, is probably happening, and not only that, it will a "hell of a game," according to the latest predictions from Bruce Nesmith, a former designer at Bethesda that worked on many of the developer's biggest games, including Starfield (system designer) and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (lead designer).

There won't be a Starfield 2. The game might have sold OK, but it's dead now, completely lost traction, abandoned by modders and gamers alike.

And no, they didn't start from scratch with starfield either, as they re-used the same engine they slap under every RPG, which they admitted was out of laziness. I'm pretty sure Starfield started out as a fork of Fallout 4 or 76.

Starfield had a lot of hype when it launched, and that worked for a very very brief amount of time, but then I noticed how quickly that fell off a cliff, and the game became nothing but a meme.
