Starfield Only Runs at 30 FPS on Xbox Series X|S

Starfield fans who want to play the game at a pleasant frame rate will need to step up to the PC version, as Game Director Todd Howard has now confirmed that the Xbox Series X|S versions of his space-faring RPG are locked to 30 FPS. According to Howard, this decision was made in order to ensure that performance was consistent, and also to push the game's fidelity and "all that stuff." That said, Starfield can be played at 4K resolution on the Xbox Series X, while it can be played at 1440p on the Xbox Series S.
