Steam Users Can No Longer Take Advantage of This Refund Loophole

Valve has updated its Steam Refund Policy, closing a loophole in which the refund period for Advanced Access titles (e.g., pre-purchased games that could be played prior to the game's official release as a part of Deluxe Edition bonus) could be exploited by customers, with playtime during the Advanced Access period not counting toward the Steam refund period.

Seems fair.

Though I can picture a scenario in which you have run into issues in the advanced access period that you are expecting they will fix in the final release, and then they don't...

But if you put in a lot of hours in the game, then it can't have been that bad, right? You got some diversion time out of the whole ordeal.

Should have "fixed" it by removing paid early access.
