Lionsgate and Millennium Media have confirmed that a new installment of The Expendables is in development. The franchise currently comprises three films, all of which center on a team of elite soldiers portrayed by past and current action stars.



Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, and Sylvester Stallone will reprise their roles as Lee Christmas, Gunner Jensen, Toll Road, and Barney Ross in The Expendables 4, respectively, but there will be some interesting additions to the team.



Joining the crew will be Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, and Tony Jaa. Rapper 50 Cent is no stranger to action films, having starred in movies such as Escape Plan (which also happens to star Stallone), while Megan Fox has been enjoying a career revival as of late thanks to recent releases that include horror thriller Till Death. The first one was ok but I have not enjoyed the sequels much. *yawns*
 
BTW what happened to the Expendalettes? the expendables movie with a mostly girl cast.
 
About time we heard something new about it. It better not be rated PG-13 like the third one was. That movie could have been so great if they kept the R rating target, but they got greedy and thought they could capture a wider audience with the lesser rating. The Expendables 3 ended up being the least successful in the trilogy.
