The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER WINDFORCE MAX OC 16G, aside from being a mouthful, is the latest addition to GIGABYTE's WINDFORCE MAX product line featuring increased cooling. This new model also has something folks looking for easier cable management will be highly interested in, a hidden 12V-2x6 connector.

Seen this a while ago and it looks interesting. Relives some of the stress on the power cable depending on your configuration.

So, what is the purpose of this second connector?

I can't imagine this card will draw enough power in any level of overclock to benefit from it.

Is it just there as a backup in case you burn out the first one? :p

So, what is the purpose of this second connector?
It's not a 2nd connector, 12V-2x6 is 12VHPWR ver 2.0. The big deal is that rather than putting it on the side where it can be mashed against the side panel, or at the end of the card where the same can happen with a drive cage or front of a case, it sits behind the fans in a recessed area.
