Warner Bros's 1999 sci-fi hit is getting re-released at AMC for its 20th anniversary. While just about everyone on the planet has seen The Matrix, this could be interesting for those who want to experience the movie in a Dolby Cinema.

These are premium theaters that feature Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, which bring superior contrast ratios and 3D sound comprising up to 128 channels. The Matrix's recent 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release carries these improvements, but those who don't have the proper home theater equipment can see what the hype is about at AMC starting on 8/30.

From the inspiring minds of the Wachowskis, The Matrix re-imagined our world and changed film history with its innovative cinematography and poignant story about humanity and pushing the boundaries of the mind.

Wow! I cannot believe it has been twenty years either. I was around when some of the Dirty Harry movies came out. Now, you kids get off of my lawn!

Thank God! When I first read the title I thought they were doing a remake like all the other movies. I knew this time Neo would've been a black, gay, female, transgendered transvestite lol...

See how you feel when you are Dirty Harry old....

Yep... I'm with ya. Hardest part of getting old is seeing that your movie heroes that were the definition of coolness and manliness now all look like Herbert from Family Guy.
