Time to jump from Chrome?

That alone would be a great reason to jump ship. I'd take a guess at the fact that If Edge can do it, Firefox won't be too far behind either.
 
Most annoying part is Chrome used to do it.. then they caved to advertisers. Now it "stops auto-play by default"... unless you have a high enough "user engagement" score, at which point it automatically turns it back on. And it only takes loading a page to get a high enough score, and then you have to specifically turn it back off per-domain/page... which is horrible.

So far the only thing I've found that actually, reliably blocks them is Safari on my phone.
