GIGABYTE has shared the official press release for its first PCIe 5.0 power supply, the UD1000GM PG5, and it includes a bit of new information on the ways in which next-gen graphics cards can be connected to PSUs. A portion of the press release seemingly confirms that 3x 8-pin to 16-pin adapter will be widely available, an alternative to the new 16-pin cable that can deliver up to 600 watts through a single cable. GIGABYTE’s UD1000GM PSU also features four PCIe 8-pin connectors in addition to the 16-pin 12VHPWR connector, according to the specifications sheet.
