There’s a possibility that Ubisoft might close an account and prevent its owner from accessing any of their purchased games simply because it wasn’t logged into for a period of time.

This is according to a gamer by the name of Tor, who recently told PCWorld that he tried to get back into his Ubisoft account this year after a temporary hiatus in PC gaming but was unable to do so. After successfully resetting his password, Tor learned that his account was actually shut down and that he had lost access to all of his games, which cost him quite a bit of money.

Terms of service can suck my balls. Does it say buy next to the game or not? Yes, it says buy, not borrow, lease, hire, or anything else. Buying is not a temporary contract. Unless they offer to buy back the games for the original asking price.

I purchased FarCry6 through a totally new account and user name.
I forgot that I had ever had a ubisoft account, must have been 6 or 8 years ago....
At any rate the purchase ended up placed on this old account. When I went to set up the game it was nowhere to be found.
I think it took a week before the CS people were able to figure it out.
They never did figure out why the game was placed under the older account when I was fully signed in under the new account.

I guess you used the same credit card and buyer information to make the purchase that was linked to the old account.

People give EGS crap, but the Ubi launcher is right up there with Rockstar in suckage

I get de-activating an account for inactivity, but to delete it AND all the purchases... eh I'm sure there's some legal issues there.
