Ubisoft has announced that it is taking a set of measures to strengthen its long-term growth and value-creation prospects. Among those is the cancellation of three unannounced projects, which do not include the two titles that were announced back in July 2022. Skull and Bones, Ubisoft's open-world, sea-faring piracy adventure, has also been delayed yet again. It will now be released in early 2023–24 so its developers can provide a "more polished and balanced experience."

Hey where are we on that skull and bones game?

"Well.. we were doing good then our engine modifications team left when we had that political turmoil... aaand, their code for the water physics was good... great even... but was never integrated into the broader engine and we don't have anyone who knows how to do it."

So how long to get that fixed? Can we make our release target?

"When was that target"

Well, it was 2021, then 2022, now 2023.....

"And we REALLY want to do this?

YES...

"Maybe 2024?"

****... Fine... 2024... but you slip again and we're ****canning the whole **** thing, maybe release it as a extension for the new live service we're going to do.
