Valve created quite the stir among the PC enthusiast community when it announced its new portable gaming system. As expected, questions quickly arose about what components could be swapped or upgraded, such as its SSD. Valve’s product designers have stated in an interview that they will address what can be done to the Steam Deck. From safety concerns to the practicality of taking apart such a small device, there will likely be a number of details that will be gone over.







We’re getting questions about upgradability of components, replacement parts. Like, ‘can I take it apart?’ We’re gonna start answering more of those questions…We’re about to announce all those things, rather, talk about all those things, in a way...

I get this it's kind of a pc so how can we mod it, but I can see this giving repair shops a lot of work after some botched attempts.

Wonder how long it will take linus to break one.
