Letting strangers into your home when you’re not around seems like a terrible idea, but Walmart has introduced a new delivery service for the lazier folks out there who value convenience over privacy. It’s called InHome Delivery: Walmart employees will pick up a customer’s groceries and deliver them directly into a fridge.
They’ll enter homes equipped with “smart entry technology and a proprietary, wearable camera” that streams the whole process. Walmart seems confident there won’t be any security issues.
These associates, whose jobs are focused on this service, will also go through an extensive training program which prepares them to enter customers’ homes with the same care and respect with which they would treat a friend's or family’s home – not to mention how to select the freshest grocery items and organize the most efficient refrigerator.
