DLSS 5 Makes Its Official Debut on September 3rd in NBA 2K27, Bringing 3D-Guided Neural Rendering to Games

Hopefully in two to three years, we should be able to visually upgrade older titles safely like this without any fear of hardware damage.

I do wonder how normal 600W ASUS 5090 BTF cards do. Someone should test them to see what's the max power that can be drawn through that connector without burning a hole in the mobo. They could be the key to enjoying 5090 cards safely with DLSS 5 once the AI bubble pops and the market is flooded with used cards.

And here we thought leaf blower GeForce FX 5800's were a problem. We had no idea how good we had it.
Explains why Apple wants nothing to do with them after the GPU bumpgate fiasco. Nvidia has always been an arrogant company and don't care about taking responsibility for their mistakes. And the sad thing is that consumers are the enablers. And ironically they are the ones most shafted by Nvidia. Talk about Stockholm Syndrome.

The tech is fantastic, the power usage and such matters is becoming absurd.
I guess at some point it could be computing gets a re-math , a re thinking... Maybe.

The trajectory right now is not the greatest.
Software bloat / driver bloat/ API bloat doesnt help anything either.
Perhaps they need to introduce yet another standard for normal 3d, simple, clean drivers, clean API, etc, no bloated mess, to allow the regular 3d proportion , the power use to become more efficient and compact.

The one least wanting to do that is Nvidia because they know that's an easy goal to reach for their competition.

However, if they were to create a "Play Anywhere" 3D standard that would downscale the graphics to whatever device is being used, be it a phone or tablet or laptop or desktop from any vendor like Apple, Sony, Microsoft, Intel or AMD. Then there's a chance we could have at least a baseline standard with acceptable graphics quality where the user can still enjoy the game without having to pay through the noise for expensive hardware.
