Gaming laptop for under $900?

My 14yo nephew finally convinced his parents to get him a gaming laptop.

Budget is $800 bucks but with the current market I told them realistically $900 would be better (still tight though)

I found this one on amazon, looks good.

Only thing I don't like about that specific item is that you're relying on a "Renewed" product to get you under-budget. I've had nothing but trouble with Renewed products on Amazon.

I actually have this. I use it mainly for work, but have gamed on it on occasion. I upgraded the memory to 16GB of Crucial.

They probably already picked something but I'm seeing a lot of laptop deals popping up for BF already.
