Nintendo Switch 2 Release Details Roundup, Arrives on June 5 for $449, Supports 4K, Backwards Compatibility, and More

Has Tensor Cores and RT cores. DLSS has been confirmed. Also has G-Sync VRR.

"As for Nvidia's claim Switch 2 has '10x the graphics performance' of the original Switch, it certainly sounds impressive, but Digital Foundry was perhaps more cautious in its evaluation of Switch 2's potential real-world performance when sharing its initial analysis of the console. 'As an opener for the deluge of games to come, Switch 2 lands where I would expect it to based on what we've seen so far,' Richard Leadbeatter wrote. 'Personally, I went into the presentation expecting a machine with overall performance in line with Steam Deck, but early indications do suggest something more potent - at least in docked configuration.'"

"And after a lot of consideration, we decided to stick with LCD."

*cough*the ability to release an OLED version in 2 years and get most of these people to buy another one*cough*

Not sure what that means or if I should care. I can say that fixing joycons is relatively easy.

Analog sticks that use hall effect sensors, or better yet TMR sensors, are more precise and accurate, but more importantly they don't suffer from the same flaws like drift, which is a big problem with the Switch 1 joy-cons (and Sony controllers too, maybe Microsoft controllers as well). You can buy 3rd-party controllers that have these sensors in them, but as expensive as the first-part controllers like the Sony DualSense or Nintendo Switch Pro Controller are, they don't even come with such sensors. I rarely use Sony controllers cuz I don't like them, but I've never experienced drift with Microsoft controllers personally. I have however experienced a lot of drift with Switch joy-cons, and to a lesser extent Switch Pro Controllers. That sh1t is annoying.

I don't care how Nintendo builds their analog sticks, and if they use these fancy sensors or not, just so long as their Switch 2 controllers no longer have problems with things like drift.

I first heard of TMR when a friend showed me this:
