Because the original game release was "only" 160GB.

Yea Im running a 4tb in my desktop. Personal laptop just 1tb but I've backed out of mmo gaming so don't feel the need to game online while traveling for work.Yeah, and I still get a little stressed over 100-150GB installs but I know that usually pays off with nice cut-scenes or texture packs. Thankfully some 4TB NVMe drives have begun dropping in price over the last 12-24 months. Happy to have one each in the 9800X3D rig and laptop.
