I mean duh? Could you imagine if the successor wasn't in development before the current was out? What do you just give all of your development engineers a quarter or two off to chill and come back? No, sure they might stack up some vacations but development continues.

I just don't see how it's news other than Mr. Huang saying something obvious that now that his company has eclipsed 4 trillion in value everyone says... "Oh gee wow... how innovative!"

I dislike their habit of referring to rather different architectures by the same name.

Intel - Hold my 🍻! 🤣

Also- for the CGPU's, wonder if they'll drop 12HPWR for a better solution.

RGT mentioned of a 5060 super 12gb with tentative launch msrp of $350

But recent leaks have not mentioned that card. Maybe it's low down the pecking order & another 6 to 9 months away 🤔

If true that would be an awesome budget card for sure.

I mean... if you're designing an office building your architecting an office building... No different for GPU's... right?

Kidding I know there's all different styles of Architecture. I was being silly.

Wow... and watching pricing still ummm.. creeping? No... racing up... on 5090's... makes me look at my rig and pray for my 5090! lol

NVIDIA's rumored RTX 60 delay to 2028 could give AMD its biggest GPU opportunity in years

NVIDIA could leave 2027 wide open for AMD

RTX 60 series might not show up until 2028

While the Super refresh probably isn't completely off the table and could still see a surprise release in 2027, current memory chip pricing makes this rather improbable. Or, if it does release, the cards could cost significantly more than the current models due to 3GB VRAM module pricing, to the point where they might not make much sense for most people.

While NVIDIA cards still outsell AMD's by a significant margin, this rumored lack of new releases in 2027 is leaving the door wide open for AMD to capitalize by converting enthusiasts looking for an upgrade to its next-gen cards.

If RDNA 5 is priced right, AMD could tip the market in its favor

Based on all the rumors we've seen so far, AMD's next generation of cards could mark a massive generational improvement over the outgoing RDNA 4 cards, which are already fairly solid. NVIDIA's delays could allow AMD to come a few months early to the market next year with the rumored AT2 chip. If the price is right, it could sell hundreds of thousands of units before NVIDIA even gets the chance to put a new card on the market.

I'd agree with that but I have major doubts AMD's GPU division has anything competitive at a 5080 level arriving in 2027 and if they do, if it'll be a a price equal or lower than whatever the 5080 will be going for at the time. I could see AMD taking over in the low-to-mid tiers though but even then I have my doubts. Sorry but I've been rooting for their GPU division for so long now that I've more or less given up hope and it didn't help last year when that head basically threw in the towel saying that isn't the high end market isn't what they want to shoot for. However I do feel confident that if they do launch anything before NVIDIA, the SUPERs will magically appear to counter or vice-versa.
