  1. NVIDIA Warns of A Gaming GPU Shortage as It Prepares to Launch Its GeForce RTX 50 Series

These things will be hens teeth for at least 6 months. Not to worry though! I'm sure GN and J2C will each get half a dozen of each model.
  2. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Was Never Powerful Enough to Run Ray Tracing Properly, It’s Claimed

As a current 2080Ti owner I agree with this, to an extent. If I use DLSS it can handle "some" ray tracing at 1440P. The more granular the RT settings offered in the game the better. Like CP2077 I can enable some of it, and get some effect, while maintaining 60+ FPS.
  3. Steam Deck OLED: Limited Edition White Launches Worldwide Next Week for $679

I have a mint condition OLED Vita sitting here PCH-1001 I'd be willing to part with.
  4. Intel Doesn’t Think the Gaming Market Is Big Enough to Justify a Core CPU with 3D V-Cache: “Comes with Trade-Offs, Certain Disadvantages, or Co...

In all fairness this is the first "tiled" silicon CPU that Intel put out. The 1000 series Ryzen weren't all that good. 2000 series saw a good jump, and 3000 was a large jump. AMD just has years of product improvement under their belt. Intel will catch up, possibly.
  5. Intel Doesn’t Think the Gaming Market Is Big Enough to Justify a Core CPU with 3D V-Cache: “Comes with Trade-Offs, Certain Disadvantages, or Co...

Gamers want the best for gaming. Imagine that. And Intel isn't it. Not saying Intel isn't "good enough", because they are. But if I'm building something that's going to be 95% used for gaming I'm going with the best option for gaming. Not something that's OK at gaming and obliterates the...
  6. AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU Review

I agree with this. Going from a 3700X to a 5700X3D I saw a nice bump in frames and higher lows while gaming at 2560x1440, everything else on the system remained the same. I tend to keep quality high, except for MP shooters (PUBG, COD). I never felt CPU bound, but something is clearly helping.
  7. Steam Deck OLED: Limited Edition White Launches Worldwide Next Week for $679

Oh wow, OLED? Looks at my PS Vita from 2012 with an OLED display. How cute.
  8. GIGABYTE Says Its X3D Turbo Mode Allows Ryzen 9000 Series CPUs to Achieve Similar Gaming Performance as Their X3D Versions

That's an odd list of mobo's. You'd think it would include an entire line, but it doesn't. I don't see my X570 Aorus Ultra listed, but the Elite is.
  9. Rumored AMD Ryzen 9000X3D Cinebench R23 Scores Show up to 28% Performance Gains over the 7000X3D Series

I'm not turning my office in to a sauna to find a prime numbers.
  10. Intel Core Ultra 9 285K Can Draw Up to 370 Watts of Power, Cinebench Tests Show

GN covers this a bit. When he does cooler testing he has that laser imaging machine that shows the flatness of cooler bases and CPU IHS's. They tend to show the IHS to be concave. I wonder if it would be beneficial to lap the IHS and water block base. I did that on my old Q6600 back in the day...
  11. Intel Core Ultra 9 285K Can Draw Up to 370 Watts of Power, Cinebench Tests Show

Definitely not this gen, not after those trash reviews.
  12. AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Delivers 8% Better Gaming Performance and 15% Better Multi-Threaded Performance than 7800X3D, Marketing Materials Reveal

That's not a very compelling reason to upgrade over a 7800X3D. Personally, in my opinion, I feel that skipping 2-3 generations of processors isn't that detrimental to your gaming experience unless you're still playing at 1080P. Unless there is a massive leap in performance due to architecture...
  13. Intel Core Ultra 9 285K Can Draw Up to 370 Watts of Power, Cinebench Tests Show

There's a lot of surface area on a GPU water block to remove heat from. CPU waterblocks are rather small in comparison. I could see a bigger CPU block, that also covers the VRM's as well, being an option. But since there is no layout standard they would be very expensive. Especially when each...
  14. Intel Core Ultra 9 285K Can Draw Up to 370 Watts of Power, Cinebench Tests Show

370W is exotic cooling territory. I don't think there is a water block that can handle that kind of heat.
  15. AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D and Ryzen 5 5600X3D Discontinued as Pricing for 7800X3D Continues to Trend Upward

5700X3D's are still in abundance. And it's not far off in performance from the 5800X3D. Definitely a lot cheaper as well.
  16. AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D and Ryzen 5 5600X3D Discontinued as Pricing for 7800X3D Continues to Trend Upward

Well that would explain the lack of 5800X3D's being available to purchase.
