  1. Lian Li Launches the DK-07 PC Desk That’s Also A Two System Case

Yea, I need a corner desk. If it was a corner desk, I'd consider buying something like this for sure.
  2. MSI M.2 XPANDER-Z SLIDER GEN5 Expansion Card Features EZ Slide Design for Effortless SSD Changes

Yeah that kind of irks me that they are using a 16x PCB for something that's only 8x. I mean, I know a lot of 8x slots are open ended meaning a 16x PCB can still fit in them, but also a lot of times the motherboard has crap behind that open ended slot preventing something 16x long from working...
  3. NVIDIA GeForce NOW Is Introducing a Monthly Playtime Cap for Paid Members

So glad I didn't waste my time buying that service. Now everyone needs to just cancel their subscription.
  4. AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Hits 1,400+ FPS at 6.9 GHz as Scalpers Begin Selling “Zen 5” CPU with 3D V-Cache for $1,000

Oh, seems you guys are right. When I searched 9800x3d it showed me the 7800x3d instead. I didn't even notice.
  5. AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Hits 1,400+ FPS at 6.9 GHz as Scalpers Begin Selling “Zen 5” CPU with 3D V-Cache for $1,000

In-stock and priced at $476 on Amazon right now. Hopefully AMD can keep the stock flowing so those scalpers can't make a cent off them.
  6. Sega Is Delisting 60+ Classic Games from Steam, including Ecco the Dolphin, Crazy Taxi, and Jet Set Radio

I assume it costs them nothing to keep those games listed. Which makes no sense to just remove them for no reason. So what's the reason? 1. They're going to start selling them via their own newly made store front? 2. They're making a new console and going to pull all their IPs exclusive to...
  7. AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU Review

It would appear that placing the 3D cache on the bottom is allowing it to boost closer to it's full potential. This is good news. Now I can only hope even more than the 9950X has dual 3D cache on both of it's CCDs.
  8. PlayStation Controllers May Be Getting a Button That Allows Players to Rewind Gameplay

The rewind button for Chessmaster on the NES is how I learned to play Chess (and beat the computer everytime)
  9. GIGABYTE Says Its X3D Turbo Mode Allows Ryzen 9000 Series CPUs to Achieve Similar Gaming Performance as Their X3D Versions

That might be true, Im just saying all this thing does is disable the CCD without the 3D cache.
  10. GIGABYTE Says Its X3D Turbo Mode Allows Ryzen 9000 Series CPUs to Achieve Similar Gaming Performance as Their X3D Versions

Pretty sure all this does is disable one of the CCD's in a dual CCD setup. So the CPU acts as a single CCD setup. For the X3D SKU's it disables the non-X3D CCD and only activates the X3D one. Thus the game/app doesn't have to worry about using the CCD without the L3 3D cache. This helps increase...
  11. FPS FIX

Yellow light and 1 long, 2 short beeps are RAM errors. Either you have bad RAM or bad DIMMs. Try one stick of each one of the RAM at a time. See if it's possible to boot with a single stick of each one. If one of them fail, then you know that's a bad stick. Could be more than one. RAM...
  12. AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Gaming Processor Officially Announced Including Complete Specifications and Pricing

Yeah it's going to be a real shame if the 5090 is priced for the rich. The way things are looking my new build is probably going to be either a 9950X3D (If dual 3D cache on both CCDs) or 9950X and probably a 4090 since I wont be paying Nvidia tax for a 5090.
  13. AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Gaming Processor Officially Announced Including Complete Specifications and Pricing

For the 9800X3D you don't need anything fancy. It's a single CCD with a single CCX. So all cores/threads will have access to the same L3. Scheduling only gets tricky with processors that have more than one CCD or more than one CCX per CCD. Those are generally the x900 series of processors from...
  14. Apple Unveils New iMac with M4 Chip as Users Wonder Why Latest Magic Mouse Has USB-C Port on the Bottom

So far mine has held up and I use my mouse/computer for hours a day every day. I can't remember exactly when I bought it, but it was earlier this year. The mousepad has replacement "pads" that you can swap out while keeping the wireless base station. Haven't had to worry about that yet either.
