BIllet Labs Cast Iron 99 kg radiator build after 3 months of work

I know I posted this in Z's build thread previously when they first revealed it but I didn't want to totally hijack that so I'm posting this update here. A true Steam Machine, lol.

NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Upscaling Performance Review & Analysis

Just want to update that I've been testing this on all my rigs for almost a month now and I am very impressed. I though I was more or less done with DLSS and just focusing on DLAA as much as possible but now doing a 180 on that approach. Yes, native is better, but not nearly as much as it used...

Changing of the Guard at Xbox: Phil Spencer Retires, Sarah Bond Steps Down, Asha Sharma Takes Over as CEO of Microsoft Gaming

Fair points and btw, I do have a link to her memo for those who want to read it in its entirety, in the post, along with the official announcement from MS.

Changing of the Guard at Xbox: Phil Spencer Retires, Sarah Bond Steps Down, Asha Sharma Takes Over as CEO of Microsoft Gaming

Yeah, I'm mixed on this as well but all we can do and wait and see what happens next. Asha say's she's focused on quality use of AI but coming from CoreAI I'm not sure if it had a hand in all the crap Windows updates we've experienced since October. If so, well, worried doesn't quite describe...

Rumor: AMD Zen 6 Processors Could Arrive in Configurations Ranging from 6 Up to 24 Cores

That's something I'm considering but hoping I don't need to do. Between the undervolted 5090 settings I'm using, and 9800X3D, my current system TDP usually hangs around 300-500W during heavy gaming and I'm using an ITX 1000W 80+ Platinum but I've been keeping an eye on the 1200-1300 versions...

Rumor: AMD Zen 6 Processors Could Arrive in Configurations Ranging from 6 Up to 24 Cores

I'll be happy with a 16 core X3D part. Ought to be good enough for me to ride off into the sunset with as I can't imagine needing to replace something like that for around a decade and by that time I might not even care.

The return of mGPU, app lets you use a 2nd GPU for framegen

I'll never forget my one-time monster build back in the day and I've mentioned it here more than a few times in other threads. It had a GIGABYTE UD3 X79 (1.1)motherboard and 4930K that I got both for ~$400 during a BF deal. Neither the best for overclocking but managed to hit 4.3 GHz on air (I...

The return of mGPU, app lets you use a 2nd GPU for framegen

We did run a story about Lossless Scaling a while back, but I didn't see any mention in it about how it also supports using a 2nd GPU to offload certain tasks to. Definitely not SLI, but it reminds me more of the days when you could dedicate PhysX (when it still mattered) to a GPU. I saw this...

God of War News Updates: Original Trilogy Getting Remakes, Latest Game Causes Controversy, Christopher Judge Could Be Returning for Another

I've always been in the middle with it. Never played the original trilogy but did finish the first that was set in Norse mythology and haven't gotten Ragnarok despite hearing many great things about it.

NVIDIA Sells Off the Last of Its Stake in Arm, but Will Continue to Be a Customer and Partner to the Company It Once Tried to Buy Out

I agree but this is also probably just the natural end to the cycle for this circumstance. I'm more curious how the selloff may have impacted Arm's share price. My bet is that NV is simply planning on a day when it won't need Arm's designs and no longer needs any investment or partnerships at...

ASUS and Acer Are Now Banned from Selling PCs and Notebooks in Germany Following a Court Ruling Regarding H.265/HEVC NOKIA Patent

Phison CEO Claims DRAM/NAND Pricing and Supply Issues Will Lead to the End of Many System Integrators and Consumer Electronics Companies

I'm nearing being on a fixed income, 10 years or less depending on how my health goes (nobody should worry, diet and exercise in play already, just tired though) and also wondering if I'm getting to the end of the line for a new rig. I purposely built my AM5 system so I can move up from the...
