NVIDIA Could Debut Its Arm-Based N1 SoC Mobile Processor at Computex 2026

AFAIK both AMD and intel dropped their plans for ARM based cpus a long time ago.

NVIDIA Could Debut Its Arm-Based N1 SoC Mobile Processor at Computex 2026

While I'd loved that to finally replace my ShieldTV 2015, it's not happening. We would be lucky if we got one with the switch 2 SoC

Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Dual Edition is Official: AMD Puts 3D V-Cache on Both Chiplets, Launches April 22

while this sounds great on paper, I don't think there will meaningful real world benefits.

    New security protocol at work

For some reason I couldn't use passwords generated by LastPass on the AD account, it said it didn't comply with the password policy, it being the default windows policy, even if I used a longer, more complex password, it wouldn't work. It lasted for a couple of months and suddenly started...

Mark Cerny Confirms PlayStation Will Add Frame Generation — But Won’t Say Which Console

I hope Sony is targeting at least 100fps, otherwise there will be terrible lag.

Mark Cerny Confirms PlayStation Will Add Frame Generation — But Won’t Say Which Console

Yes, since FSR3 I think. FSR4.1 uses AI for FG though.

NVIDIA Unveils DLSS 5, to Help Achieve Photorealistic Lighting While Honoring the Artist’s Original Intent and Image Quality

Well, people that claim it's just an instagram filter, are spot on... kind of. It's clear that DLSS5 takes the frame and "reconstructs" the image adding detail, modifying the lighting, contrast and color. It does NOT mess with the polygons but can alter the textures and does that in real time...

NVIDIA Unveils DLSS 5, to Help Achieve Photorealistic Lighting While Honoring the Artist’s Original Intent and Image Quality

I'm getting sick of this game art style and developer intent. Which is the developer intent? 4k ultra settings path tracing?, low settings 720p @30fps? is anything else disruptive of the art style? Does a switch version disrupt the intended look? Does a high-end pc with ultrawide monitor?

NVIDIA Unveils DLSS 5, to Help Achieve Photorealistic Lighting While Honoring the Artist’s Original Intent and Image Quality

Thing is, people bitch about nvidia every day, all day long. They don't care about gamers, fake frames, ****ty upscaling, skyrocket prices and the list goes on. Yet nvidia has more than 90% market share on gaming cards. People is not voting with their wallets.

NVIDIA Unveils DLSS 5, to Help Achieve Photorealistic Lighting While Honoring the Artist’s Original Intent and Image Quality

I said ever since AI became a thing that it would eventually complement/replace RT/PT. Brute force just doesn't cut it, even if you only raytrace some parts. This seems like the natural evolution. Thing is nvidia went too far with the overuse of Botox in its first demo.

NVIDIA Unveils DLSS 5, to Help Achieve Photorealistic Lighting While Honoring the Artist’s Original Intent and Image Quality

I have a feeling that the dual 5090 setup was just for bragging rights. Wouldn't be as impressive if it just used a RTX5060 for DLSS5. We'll know for sure in a few months

NVIDIA Unveils DLSS 5, to Help Achieve Photorealistic Lighting While Honoring the Artist’s Original Intent and Image Quality

I think the Lossless Scaling tools lets you use a 2nd card to do the upscaling/framegen

multigpu requieres developer support. No one wants to implement it for some reason.

NVIDIA Unveils DLSS 5, to Help Achieve Photorealistic Lighting While Honoring the Artist’s Original Intent and Image Quality

Why are people so fixated on the dual RTX5090? It's a proof of concept so to speak, lots of work and optimization to do until release. I think nvidia rushed too early to show it, but it was all it had to show pc gaming wise. No mention of next gen gaming cards at all, not even in the pipeline.

NVIDIA Unveils DLSS 5, to Help Achieve Photorealistic Lighting While Honoring the Artist’s Original Intent and Image Quality

I think nvidia needs a new acronym for its AI derived technologies. It got bad enough with framegen, but now this? From what I've seen so far, it looks great on some games, different but not necessarily better in others and worse in the rest. Lot's more of tweaking to do. The big question...
