    7900xtx Nitro+ vs 9070 xt Taichi?

As long as i am not LOSING more than 8% performance I will be okay with that. I am not looking for an upgrade and instead considering a performance side-grade and efficiency upgrade while my niece inherits a great performing computer.

    7900xtx Nitro+ vs 9070 xt Taichi?

I currently have a Sapphire 7900xtx Nitro+ and am considering an ASRock 9070 XT Taichi as a side grade and slight power usage reduction so I can give my niece the old 7900xtx and 5950x combo. I have been looking over lots of reviews and it is hard to find these two cards directly compared for...

    Upgraded from a 5950x to a 9850x3d

Deshrouded because OEM fans are 92mm not 120mm.

Okay if I hear one more person tell me the wires need cleaning I will treat it like a declaration of war.

    7900xtx overboosting?

So I have to limit my Sapphire 7900xtx nitro+ from overboosting the front end clocks by actually NOT letting the card go any higher than 400watts. At 400watts power limit the front end clock goes to 3.2ghz but no higher and that is stable but if I give it the 15% extra power limit the card...

    Upgraded from a 5950x to a 9850x3d

I know I said it would be impossible/difficult to reorient the GPU fans so their LEDs moved the same direction as the case fans but it was only MOSTLY impossible.

    Upgraded from a 5950x to a 9850x3d

Sapphire 7900xtx Nitro+ Did a little tidying up just to get the bottom fans' LEDs going the right direction. Can't easily flip the GPU fans since the clearance on the case on the other end is zero.

    Upgraded from a 5950x to a 9850x3d

Gonna give it a real tidying up once I can find some EPS 180s in white. Finding the 24 pin 180 in white is easy but I might have to do 2 white eps extensions to fix the black cables.

    Upgraded from a 5950x to a 9850x3d

    Went from | ASUS ROG Strix X570-I + 5950x(@5.1ghz) + 32gb DDR4 3600mhz CL14 + Crucial P5 Plus M.2 2280 2TB | -----> TO ----- > | GIGABYTE X870E AORUS PRO ICE AM5(I got the 1.0 version which makes it a VERY old board but the huge discount was worth it) + 9850x3d(@5.785ghz) + Patriot 32gb DDR5...

3D V-Cache Is Coming to Not Only Threadripper CPUs, but Also AMD APUs, New Rumors Suggest

Let's be honest... putting the vcache under the die isn't revolutionary but evolutionary. Still I am gonna buy one :D

    AMD RDNA3.5 890m

Discovered the windows 11 driver the laptop came with limited the potential VRAM to 8gb but when I did a fresh windows 10 install I could go all the way up to 24gb vram. I doubt that will help anything given the tiny bandwidth but funny still.

    AMD RDNA3.5 890m

I got my hands on a Asus Vivobook S 16 with the HX 370 WITHOUT a dedicated GPU because I wanted to test the 890m. The specs sheet tell a story of an iGPU intentionally limited by memory bandwidth. 118gb/s is what GPUz reports and even though the pixel/s and textures/s are better than bottom...

TRUE Copper is back in the game!

Not sure as I didn't have enough thermal paste to really run it hard. Ordered more but won't have it till Monday. Really only powered it on to install Windows 10 and make sure everything worked. I did end up making a custom light pattern for the fans though:

TRUE Copper is back in the game!

Been out of the desktop game for a LONG time(last desktop had two 660ti in SLI to give you an idea) but I am back and building a new one right now. It's not quite done yet but I am bringing back the TRUE Copper I bought 10 years ago lol! Had to trim the back plate to even make it work now.
