Motherboard Prices Are Expected to Increase amid Slower Sales and Rising Manufacturing Costs

Always get an extended 3 year warranty with a laptop. Gaming laptops have a propensity to fail or develop annoying problems, especially ones from HP and Lenovo.

AMD Announces Availability of Instinct MI300X Accelerator and MI300A APU for High-Performance Computing and Generative AI

Pretty big and unexpected news. Weird that they chose AMD even though they have great success making their TPU accelerators. This is something they might be doing only due to time related pressure because they have enough money to deploy their own licensed ARM CPU cores if they wanted or develop...

Almost 5GB demo: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fUx6RS8CzwUzmaOPbuy3xoLbdcYF9RwU/view Download quick before Konami forces it to be taken down! My mini review so far: I was thrilled to see that they remade the old intro almost exactly as it was, just with better sound and graphics and music...

Valve Could Ditch Using a Custom Processor for Steam Deck 2 in Favor of One That Might Outperform the PlayStation 6/Xbox Project Helix

AVX512 was conceived to make faster rendering possible on CPUs. Too bad they pivoted to business use cases afterwards and fragmented the hell out of it.

Businesses Are Feeling the Hurt as NVIDIA Raises the Price of Its Flagship Enterprise GPU, the RTX PRO 6000 “Blackwell” 96 GB, to $16,000

$16000 is not a lot for a business. Except when they need 100 RTX PRO 6000 GPUs. Then that adds up quick!

Opensource benchmark with over 100 CPU tests, Global Ranking and a shipload of optimized executables

Run any of the Windows executables through WINE and you can compare the scores. It's a lightweight application so runs perfectly under WINE. It possibly replaced my M1 MBA 8-core score. Only the fastest scores of each CPU model are retained and M1 (8 core) would look the same to the application.

It’s Estimated That Grand Theft Auto VI Netted over a Quarter Billion with Its First Week of Pre-Orders

Have some mercy on them. They can't delay the launch anymore and hold the release till the PC version's bugs are squashed. And there are many because they have to support everything from Geforce 900/Radeon RX 5000 to current GPUs, as well as the new Intel ones. It's hard work I tell you. HARD...
