There's been a loooot of native PC ports from decomps, and also PC versions via recomps, of a lot of classic console games in the past few years. It's really been blowing up. If you just scroll down for a while on this page you'll get a small sample of the crazy amount of decomps and recomps...

Gross. Definitely not installing that new launcher on any of my current PCs.

Yeah that has pretty much been my experience with gaming in Linux for the past 4 years. And it works just as well for running non-Steam games through Steam with Proton. Some games, like Doom TDA, don't even exhibit any differences whatsoever. They literally run just as good in Linux as they do...

Seriously, who the actual f*ck is this Epic?! They are completely unrecognizable from the Epic Games that made the first 3 Gears of War games, let alone true original Epic MegaGames. I would say that I won't ever spend a penny on their products ever again, but I haven't even paid them money for...

During Switch 1's generation it was already bad that a lot of 3rd-party devs decided not to pay for the full-size 32GB cartridges, and instead went with smaller-capacity cartridges, and only fit some of the game onto it. The rest of the game you have to get through a download. In some cases the...

Same. I have a PS4 Pro, and a lot of experience with the base PS4 models of various friends and family members, but my friends only have base PS5s. Wait that's not true, one friend does have a PS5 Pro. He used to have a base PS5 (maybe still does), so maybe I'll ask him how the difference has...

You could build an AM4 system that destroys the PS5 Pro for cheaper!

I have a friend who just became a dad a few months ago. He saw the WoW Classic announcement. This was basically him: https://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2006/06/16/treachery-manifest

https://www.techpowerup.com/review/gears-of-war-e-day-steam-deck-xbox-ally-x-claw-8-ex-performance-benchmark/ Steam Deck: "As soon as you start playing, you'll notice that Gears of War: E-Day is yet another high-profile AAA game that isn't playable on the Deck. This time, it's the CPU that's...

Some more E-Day shiznit I saw around: https://www.digitalfoundry.net/news/2026/10/advanced-shader-delivery-adds-nvidia-gpu-support-later-this-month-to-banish-shader-compilation-stutter...

Gears 4 and 5 were good examples of how to use Unreal Engine 4 (although Gears 5 was, and still is, buggy as all f*ck), and I bet E-Day will finally show us a good implementation of UE5.

I grew up with gastroesophageal reflux disease. Fun times. IBS too. And my bowels never got a remaster. At this point I'd like a remake.

And now you could sell that RAM and buy a mansion, a helicopter, and a boat, and still have money left over. Don't let the AI companies find out how much you got. They will come in the night and steal it away.

Hahahahahaha yeah!

I always avoid the major Windows updates for 6 months. So won't even be concerned about Win11 26H2 for friends, family, and my secondary desktop PC until at least March 2027. Until then it doesn't exist to me. I really feel you on all of that dawg. Couldn't have said it better.

Don't know what to get your wife for her birthday? You should AI that. Having trouble performing a tricky maneuver for bedroom spicy time? You should AI that. Your coworker is having a stroke/heart attack right in front of you?! You should AI that! There's a strange discharge coming from your...

I still haven't played the 2nd one. I thought the first was barely okay so I wasn't in a hurry to play the 2nd one.

I'll be very interested when this supports original Xbox and Xbox 360 games.

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooow!!!!!! Also if facial unlock was the only authentication point then that was doomed to fail. For something like payments you should have passwords+pins and/or fingerprint or whatever the f*ck. 2FA dat biznatch. Don't just leave it with something simple like facial...
