Silo AI, a company that describes itself as being the largest private AI lab in all of Europe, employing over 300 AI experts and over 125 AI scientists with PhDs for work on various AI-driven products, including those in the fields of smart devices, autonomous vehicles, smart cities, and more, is now officially owned by AMD, according to a press release that red team shared today about how it paid $665 million for the company.

I think this is smart, whomever can get a solid private AI experience for home users (be that web connected or not) that can be their own 'private' version of Alexa or google home will be the winners over all. Figuring that out you need a lab and hardware and some very intelligent people.

(but really the meta data is where the money is... and that's going to be the biggest issue with any sort of private AI from a big company.)
