Welcome hub, a new personalized space with customizable widgets and backgrounds for the PS5 home screen that Sony rolled out earlier this month as part of an update that introduced several additional features for PlayStation 5 consoles, including Party Share, personalized 3D audio profiles, and adaptive controller charging, has been partially ruined by what some players are claiming to be full-screen ads, according to the latest complaints shared on social media.

I first heard about this from a PS5-owning friends. He and others have started leaving their PS5s offline. Another good job being an @sshat Sony.

does pihole drop the ads?

Edit - if there was ever anything I wanted out of AI, it's AI for pihole to identify and drop more ads.

Yes I agree. Trying to figure out what hostname got past my pi-hole with their useless garbage takes too much time. lol

Like recently, I still haven't been able to figure this out.

But I don't pay for Windows 10. I know, I know. Sue me. It's free and "strips" away some features I don't want anyway. One of those features was a customizable desktop background. It's all grey out. No problem, I like the solid color anyway. Except, recently. Something happened and now it's using that garbage Windows spotlight for my background which used to be grey out and not selectable. Now it's greyed out and stuck on that setting. I can't remove it.

I also block ALL of Microsoft's servers because their updates break everything running Windows. I only let them in when I am ready to tend to the hosts that are updating so I can fix the problems. But somehow, whatever URL/Domain/Hostname is sending these periodic updates is really pissing me off. I haven't been able to block them.

Neither do I. I use a KMS emulator to bypass activation.

EDIT: Well, on all machines except my main. I used my Win7 Ultimate key to activate Win10 on my previous main desktop, and on my current main desktop.

I also block ALL of Microsoft's servers because their updates break everything running Windows.
Smart plan.
