If you’re a data hoarder with $40,000 to spend, Nimbus Data has the perfect item for you. As spotted by TechRadar, the company is currently offering an ExaDrive DC SSD that offers 100 TB of space – large enough to replace most hobbyists’ storage arrays in one fell, quiet swoop. (Actually, this monstrous drive has reportedly been available for some time, but Nimbus Data had kept the price close to its chest until this week, which is understandable – that’s a lot of money!)

I'm no longer impressed by multiple terabyte drives. I'm now waiting on a petabyte drive to be impressed.
 
Here is something scary. 40k for a 100TB enterprise drive isn't that bad. The problem is the vendor will charge another 30k for the warranty coverage on it.
