Really looking forward to this. Had a blast with the first one, except for all the backtracking and thought the story was awesome. I also couldn't believe how well optimized it was. I could easily play it at 4K 60 FPS with hardware from 12-14 years ago.
 
I don't play horror games, so like the first one I'll just have to take people's word for how bad or good it is.
 
So no Resident Evil or Silent Hill or Alan Wake?
That is correct. Although I did play RE4 on Gamecube, never finished it though. Got through disc 1. I caught most a friend's playthrough of Code Veronica on Dreamcast. I started RE5 co-op with a friend on X360 but we didn't finish that. That's about the extent of my experience with horror games, that I can recall at least.

Alien Isolation is more of an immersive sim than a horror game. I'm not into horror myself.
